Welcome to my little cubbyhole of the world-wide-web!
I’m Charli Dawns, the mid 20’s creator of The Break of Dawns, a blog about my world travels and ever-changing lifestyle.
Three short years ago, I quit my job and transitioned all of my college courses online so I could move to Germany with my now-husband. Two college degrees, an ever-so-empty bank account and 20 countries later, I had accumulated so many pictures and memories from traveling that I desperately was afraid of forgetting as time went on—cue the beginning of The Break of Dawns.
Our time spent living in Germany inevitably ended and now we’re in the Bay area of California for the next couple of years.
I still dream of Europe every single day.
I guess you could say I’ve always been a dreamer, looking for the next best thing to keep me inspired and always wanting more: more success, more money, more beauty, more excitement. I drifted away in perfectionism for the majority of my early twenties but now I’m back and it’s time for me to start remembering who I was meant to be, what truly makes me happy and the smaller moments that make life beautiful, like visiting a place I’ve only read about in books, cuddling with my 7-pound furball of a pup, and getting lost on a primitive road trip with my husband.
I started this blog to not only store my experiences, memories and pictures from globe-trotting, but to inspire others to dream big, work hard, and remember that life’s way too dang short to not be happy.
