Parikia, the capital and main port for Paros Island, is a small and quaint but lively town. It’s one of the busiest areas on Paros, along with Naousa to the north.
We stayed on Paros Island for one full day and night, with our AirBnb located about a mile south of Parikia. We had a private beach, beautiful views from our French casement windows, and our hosts graciously left us wine and souma, a Grecian moonshine. Not to mention our private bench near the ocean for those iconic Greece sunsets!
Parikia adorns that iconic Cyclades look with its slew of white-washed, blue roofed buildings that house restaurants on the shore of the Aegean Sea. The narrow cobblestone alleyways zig-zag you past shops and parlors where you can smell the sweet aroma of freshly-watered flowers.
Check out the beautiful town in this photo diary!
I had been dreaming about the Cyclades for years and visiting Parikia truly made that dream come true for me.
