If you’re like the majority of people on earth, you’ve probably lived at least half your life on a budget. I’m one of those people and I budget with everything, especially when it comes to clothes. When I enter a store in the mall, I go straight to the clearance rack. I love finding bargains and getting things 90% off of the original price. I have no shame in walking into a non-profit Goodwill or a Salvation Army to find some gently-used clothes for bottom dollar prices. I went into one of those stores and found some crazy good deals that made for some cute outfits!
Here’s Style on a Budget: Thrift Store Haul:
Casual Springtime Wear
I love me any colored pant for the spring and summer. I paired this American Rag spaghetti strap tank with these American Eagle pink denim. Throw a blazer on top to turn this daytime look into an evening one!
The pair retail for around $70 and I paid $4.50!

Casual Denim Look
Give me a comfy pair of jeans and you’ll have a hard time getting me out of them! I found the perfect denim in this American Eagle pair & picked up this cowl-neck BCBG tank to match. Some cute earrings, bag and wedges would make this the perfect date night outfit!
This outfit would retail for $60 together but it only cost me $5!

Springtime in the Midwest
The biggest difference between spring in the midwest and here in Cali is about 30 degrees. While I’m rocking the knee-length floral dress to church on Christmas here, back in Indiana I’d be putting on something like this: a fitting pair of teal American Eagle corduroys and a Derek Heart sheer flowered top. A snowy Easter would call for a pastel pea coat, matched with some closed-toe flats.
This outfit retails for $55 but I paid $4!

Fall Day Favorites
Give me pumpkin spice lattes, a Friday night football game and COZY SWEATERS. This Forever21 knit jumper & American Eagle bootcut denim is the ultimate comfy-but-cute style to be rockin’ this fall. I can see me sippin’ on them PSL’s already!
This pair retail at $80 and I snagged them for $4!

Office with a Pop
Those ‘ole office looks don’t have to be so dreary and frumpy. I switch up my office looks with a pop of color in these coral Worthington slacks. The slim-wrist sweater from Forever21 gives a perfect contrast to the color. Throw on a black belt with a bucket and matching booties, you have the perfect office outfit.
This pair would retail for $95 and I bought them for $5!

Winter in My Vest
I’m seriously such a sucker for vests. Sweater vests, plaid vests, fur vests, give me allll the vests and this Loft Sweater one is the perfect pop of white in front of the Forever21 black long-sleeve. It’s a must to tuck that in to my Forever21 high-waisted black denim jeans, the perfect pant to give it that casual look.
The outfit would cost $90 in stores but I got it all for $7!

Brightening Up Winter
Let’s face it. Winter is a drab and our moods tend to reflect that (I definitely grab for those darker tones during the colder months!) The blue Aeropostale denim gives that perfect flash of color against the Forever21 ribbed knit sweater.
Both would cost $55 in stores together, but I got them for $4!

Like always, I’m freezing my tail off in the winter months so I snagged this American Eagle zip-up, yet buttoned sweater to go with these Jessica Simpson gray denim pants. I can see my gray Ugg booties and my scarf and hat glove set matched with this!
I couldn’t believe I got this outfit for $5 and it would’ve cost me $105 in stores!

Haha of course you can borrow me, I’d love to tag along 🤗I seem to always find the best things to make into some cute outfits! I like dressing more casual than formal so jeans & large knitted sweaters are where it’s at for me. Love clearance racks, I never understood why people pay full price lol

I’m not a very good shopper at all, so you would be super helpful! I also wear jeans, mostly with t shirts haha. But yeah, bragging about having expensive clothes… big deal. We could have 10 different items for your 1!😂

I couldn’t agree more! So many times I see something on display that I love but can’t bring myself to pay full price, especially when I can leave the thrift stores with a bag full for the same amount of $!
