Moore Creek Park, along with its neighbor Lake Hennessey, are located in central Napa County, about an hour and a half drive from San Francisco. The entire 1500 acres of land epitomizes California countryside with its hilly trails and mountainous views. There are around 15 miles of trails in the park, constantly winding and climbing up and downhill, but all with beautiful views of the surrounding Vaca Mountains. The park has so much character with its zig-zag mossy trees, natural vegetation, the prettiest nature graffiti and a shaded creek that runs right through the heart of the park.

Other Things to Explore in Moore Creek Park
If you’re not too keen on hiking, most of the trails here are mountain-bike accessible. While you can’t swim in the nearby Lake Hennessey, it makes for a great quiet place to spend an afternoon.
While hiking through, you’ll stumble upon one of my favorite features, even though it’s a shame someone harmed this tree.
The views of the surrounding Vaca and Sonoma Mountains are something else. Moore Creek Park is the perfect place to escape the vineyards of Napa or the hustle and bustle of the nearby metropolises.
