Lake Hennessey and Moore Creek Park are located in central Napa County, an hour and a half drive from San Francisco. The entire 1500 acres of land epitomizes California countryside with its hilly trails and mountainous views.
Lake Hennessey is actually a reservoir, built around the Conn Creek Dam.
On the northeastern side of Lake Hennessey is Moore Creek Park. There are around 15 miles of trails in the park, constantly winding and climbing up and downhill, but all with beautiful views of the surrounding Vaca Mountains.
The park has so much character with its zig-zag mossy trees, natural vegetation, the prettiest nature graffiti…
…and the perfect shaded creek that runs right through the heart of the park.
The best part is that we didn’t see one person in the 3 hours that we spent here! Serenity at its finest.
