I’m not really one for big cities, luxury and, truthfully, I’m not really a drinker either… BUT, if all those things can come together in a foreign place while I’m on vacation then count me in! The Sky Bar at Lebua Hotel & Resort in Bangkok, Thailand is one of those places. Coinciding luxury with its epic panoramic views of Bangkok, it offers a wide range of alcoholic beverages to suit anyone’s desires.
Here’s all about Drinking 64 Floors Up in Bangkok: The Sky Bar at Lebua:
Arriving to the Sky Bar
The Sky Bar is located on the 64th floor of the Lebua Hotel in the Bang Rak district of Bangkok. We stayed at the Lebua at State Tower during our time in Bangkok so it was easy for us to take the elevator from our room to the top floor.

Visitors who aren’t staying at the hotel can arrive through the main entrance of Lebua. Walking through a large area that resembles a mall, staff are at the back of the corridor. Asking whether you’re here for accommodation or entertainment, they’ll lead each group to the elevators, instructing which floor to take.
Settling In With a Glass of Wine
I wasn’t completely sure how the whole system at the Sky Bar worked before coming here. As soon as we exit the elevators, a staff member welcomes us with a warm Thai smile. Inquiring about whether we are here for drinks or dinner, she hands us a menu of options. After putting in an order, we are led around a smaller bar to the left and then to a cocktail table. Within seconds, my chilled glass of Italian Sauvignon Blanc was in my hand.
Views for Days of Bangkok
Anyone looking for a panoramic view of Bangkok from above should make a visit to the Sky Bar. While multiple rooftop bars are found in Bangkok, the Sky Bar at Lebua is the highest in the world at 820 feet. Views of the Chao Phraya River, entertainment districts and and massive skyrises can be seen from up here.
Moving Over to the Light Up Bar
Before leaving our cocktail table, the staff asked for payment for the first round of drinks.
→Gratuity and a service fee is included in the price of your drinks so pay attention to your receipt! My husband actually tipped on top of what they had charged so our two glasses of wine cost 2500 Baht, or around $80.
Once the drinks are paid for, we head over to the extravagant marble steps leading down into the restaurant. A staff member escorts us over to the light up bar on the edge of the platform. The same sort of drink menu is offered at this bar as well as the first.
Be sure to try the Hangovertini that the staff created for the cast of the Hangover!
The Dome
Possibly one of the most stunning features of the entire Sky Bar is the Dome. This area hosts a collection of rooftop restaurants and bars rated as some of the best in Bangkok.
If you’re planning on staying at Lebua, consider being a part of the Tower Club. The perks of the club is upgraded rooms in a separate tower. Various offers for other things exist too like private culinary classes, continental breakfasts, luxurious suites and dinner at one of the 4 restaurants.
A Worker’s Photoshoot
Flash photography is prohibited up at the Sky Bar so the staff offers some improvisions. Using a selfie-flashlight, workers will go on a full-fledged photo shoot to capture photos of you. We walked away with nearly 30 shots!
Feeling Like Royalty
My favorite part of our whole experience at Lebua and the Sky Bar was the staff’s hospitality. Not only did they always wear a smile, their willingness to accommodate really shone throughout our whole stay. We felt like royalty the entire time, especially while enjoying a couple of hours up at the Sky Bar.
The Lebua Hotel in Bangkok is considered to be a 5 star resort. While it’s much cheaper compared to others in the world, every penny we spent on our accommodation was worth it!

It was pretty amazing! Expensive, but amazing! I feel like we always have some regrets when trips are over. Mine is not going in to Wat Pho but it was way too hot for me to get fully-clothed 😅 Maybe I’ll have the chance to go back some day and same for you!
